For your revolutionary war project you and your partner will be creating a PowerPoint that covers the major events and details of a Revolutionary War battle.  You may choose any battle of the revolution except Saratoga that are on the list provided. You must tell me your choice so that no other person can select that battle.  Battles will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Some battles are more important than others, and will be easier to do for this project.  Do a little research before you make your selection.

Grading

Grade will be based on the criteria below.

Your PowerPoint MUST include all of the following slides:

1.  Title slide - should include a picture and the name and date of the battle

2.  Terrain - describes where the battle took place. Be sure to describe any geographic features that could impact the battle.

3.  Combatants - describes which armies were involved, their unit types and numbers and what equipment they used. (You can do a slide for each)

4.  Leaders - include major leaders for all sides.

5.  Maps - If possible showing the stages of the battles.  You should include at least 2 maps in the presentation.

6.  Timeline - 3-7 slides detailing the events of the battle as they unfolded.   Be sure to include any specific tactics we have discussed in class.

7.  Casualties - Killed and wounded on both sides.  Be sure to include if a specific important person was killed.

8.  Results - What were the consequences of this battle.

9.  What If? - What tactics could the loser have used to win the battle?  Use your knowledge of warfare we have discussed in class and make the winner a loser.

10.  Presentation - Slides should be presented in a neat and professional manner.  Images should be used throughout the project.  

11. Documentation - Be sure to include the URL in the "note section" of the slide when you use information.

Overall presentation will be graded on completeness, following directions, professional presentation and creativity.
