Civil War Project
The Civil War was a new kind of war. The Industrial Revolution had brought about many changes and new technologies. At the start of the Civil War, the telegraph made it possible for people to learn about events much more quickly than in past wars. Journalists were sent out to follow the battles and send stories back home to families starved for information about loved ones. A new breed of journalist emerged, the War Correspondent. The year is 2225 and you have just finished your degree in historical war correspondence. It is time for you to give your final report. Each member of the class will be going back in time to research a battle of the civil war. You will then present your findings to your classmates. The order of presentation will be determined by the order the battles occured in the Civil War. Part I: Choose Your Battle

Grading: The presentations will be worth 50 points, and will be based on the following details 1. depth / accuracy of subject knowledge. 2. All elements above included in presentation 3. Presentation quality. (are the slides set up well, is there too much/too little information per slide) 4. Oral presentation given to class.
